Weber Neutron

The compensated neutron device performs density logging using a pair of neutron detectors, consisting of small and large distance detectors, to compensate for the irregular shapes of the well. The curve, calculated on the basis of data from small and large detectors, records existing lithological effects. In small and large detectors of the compensated neutron device, LI: l type is 4.45 cm X 5.08 cm.

General Information

The compensated neutron device performs density logging using a pair of neutron detectors, consisting of small and large distance detectors, to compensate for the irregular shapes of the well. The curve, calculated on the basis of data from small and large detectors, records existing lithological effects.

Small and large detectors of the compensated neutron device use LI: l type crystals measuring 4.45 cm X 5.08 cm. The information obtained through the crystals exists in the form of light pulses, which are transmitted to the FEU crystals, converted into electrical impulses, and amplified to the necessary fluidity to enable data processing. The signal is transmitted from the detector junction at a pulse amplitude of 400-500 mV with a pulse width of 5 ms.

The signal from the detector is transmitted to the discriminator at lower levels. The discriminator input pulses operate in the range of a few millivolts to a thousand millivolts and consist of a tunnel-type diode circuit. To ensure operation in a set of devices. Input levels from 400mV to 500mV are used.
